I've been driving for over 40 years and been lucky enough that have never had a broken glass on a car, my current car I've owned for over 20 years and one morning (I did not notice when it happened, I'm guessing the air conditioning on a hot windshield made it visible) I found an impact point that started cracking; the first name that came to mind was Carglass, I'm not even sure where I heard the name I think it was a TV commercial or maybe radio, nevertheless I still checked all the places and several other car glass fixing and replacement business near me but I chose Carglass from the large number of recommendations and the even knew where to find the building because it's on the side of a very traveled road and has very big signs. My insurance paid for everything so I wasn't 100% concerned about the price of the service, but my first experience just visiting the place and asking for an estimate left me very well impressed with the human touch of every person at the shop, from those in the office to the technician that actually replaced the glass on my car, how perfectly clean they left it, end the offer to replace the windshield wipers for a relatively expensive brand (Bosh 59€) but those had a 4 year warranty and my old ones were in bad shape (on a brand new glass would be almost a sin to keep old wipers) and besides those were just offered not at all pushed on me. A compact car tools kit was presented as a wellcomed gift although on the phone they told me I would receive a vacuum cleaner, but without any gift I am very happy with the service I would recommend it since on my first visit they tried to fix the crack immediately but were not fully successful so they recommended I replace the windshield, they handled everything themselves and in a few days I came to have the glass exchanged and it took less than an hour
